About Karl
Acting
Karl Steudel has been performing since high school, where he won the Drama bowl award.
After dozens of films, television shows, commercials, and industrials. Karl now works both in Los Angeles and New England.
What a delight it was to portray an Angel/Alien in “Willows Way” on Netflix, and then the pensive, Charles Darwin on PBS NOVA. Spring 2014, Karl had a large role as a historical figure in “Hotel Secrets and Legends”, as a Becker, a radical co-conspirator, intent to break free of the Newly founded United States.
Karl has also worked costar on All My Children, and performed in his first 99 seat equity show, “Langston and Nicholas” at the Stella Adler Theater, which was acclaimed by the LA Times as 'The Best Play in LA”.
A Lesser known fact, he has been the arms and hands of Will Ferrel as photo double in his latest Lego's Movie, and Dodge Car commercials.
Comedy
Rapper
Karl opened live on stage for Paula Poundstone. That's right, he was rapping while Eminem was in diapers, but with his light-hearted antics, audiance participation, and straight-man Partner Steve Roses. Their improv-singing-telegram service called “Rap-o-Gram” toured New England with such clients as The Garber Travel Agency, colleges and multiple private events.
Physical Comedy
Are you a fan of Disney?, Karl recently made a memorable 'crash' debut on the cold open of “Austin and Ally” Episode 1, where he stumbled over a drum set, and sent a rack of cymbals flying. (he is happy to be paid for what comes naturally)
Stand up
Karl did his FIRST ever stand up comedy set at the Mbar spring, 2014. With a week to prep, he actually got quite a few laughs and had fun. since then, he has been asked to perform more venues at the Belly Room!
Voice Over
Karl's VO credit include Nike Industrial videos, and Adult Swim Channel Animated comedy. His Two audio books, one being religious Poetry, the other Paranormal Romance for an Amazon top 100 author.
Directing
Karl recently directed his first short film, “Burnt Turkey”. Will A Mother and daughter reconcile their tragic past before it is too late? This 20 minute film is in post production with just some color correction required!
Music
As a Composer, Karl has licensed his original music to multiple Television shows such as; The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Bravo, HGTV, The Food Network, The History Channel, VH1, Hogan Knows Best, and many others.
As a Performer, Karl took that original music to the people, singing and playing keys with his band 7 Coyotes, spreading reggae Pop and Blues throughout New England colelges, clubs and parties

Author

Teacher
Karl also, teaches Music privately. and teaches Swimming . Both these are life-long passions he finds immensely fulfilling, and has kept them as part time paid employment.
Since 2005, Karl has hosted events in New England for actors, worked as a casting director. His Casting credits include Hewlett packard, stage, Regional Commercials and independent film.
